Human Kindness.
On our family holiday to Kos in Greece back in July my wife lost our holiday money.
We arrived at the airport in Kos and I asked her for some Euros to buy a few bottles of water. She was frantically going through her handbag but couldn't find the money. 500 euros in total.
Naturally we were gutted and reported the money lost but nothing.
Anyway I had a phone call today to say the money was handed in and was ready to be collected from our local Thomas Cook.
Turns out a guy called Garyth from Wales found it on the floor of WH Smiths and handed it in! What a top bloke.

Re: Human Kindness.
The money was for our holiday so all of ours I guess. Apparently he went to hand it in to the manager of WH Smiths but didn't trust her so he handed it in to Thomas Cook when he returned from his holiday. He could have spent that money easily having a better time but didn't.

I lost my wallet in Corfu this summer, it had fallen out of my shorts while I was on the beach.
I didn't realise until I got back to my hotel about a 20min drive away.
I spun round and went back to find it gone. I asked at a beach bar nearby and they said that a Danish woman had found a wallet and was looking for the owner.
I drove back up to the main road and there she was in a bar waving my driving licence around asking if anyone had seen me.
She handed over the wallet with everything still inside, faith in human nature restored....

Happened to me at the end of last year. I left my wallet on the LDR. It had a few hundred euros and over a hundred quid in it, plus all my cards.

A few weeks later I got a call from London Transport and it had been handed in with nothing missing whatsoever.

Silly twat that I am, I then lost it again at Upton Park, a WEEK later. Got a hot dog from a stall on Green Street then decided on some chips too as she handed me my change. A bit of juggling ensued what with the ketchup delivery, change etc and I think I ended up leaving the wallet on the counter.

No phone call this time.. West Ham c*nts.

Somebody found Sold0's wallet recently, looked inside, put £20 in and handed it in.

Found £5 on the School Field when I was about 10, handed it in to reception,

Was never claimed so I got it back. Spent it all on Football stickers.

FOund P's wallet in a strange place called BUFFS.

Opened it up and there were these giant white linen five pound notes inside (and a picture of Northern Sold fisting his lab)

I think it's a remarkable story.
I have handed in wallets with cards in them and things like Oyster cards but an envelope with 500 euros ..... I HOPE I would do the right thing but couldn't guarantee it.

That is bloody unbelievable.

I thought of myself in Garyth's situation and realised what a cunt I am.

Sven that has crossed my mind too.........I think I would. Well I would certainly do that now.

Re: Human Kindness.
I've handed a wallet in before.

Not because I really cared about the individual who had lost it. It was utterly selfish and shallow - It just made me feel really good bout myself.

A bit like these people who bang on about letting in all the immigrants. It's just so they can feel/appear nice and kind.
